In addition to April’s expansive film industry background spanning over two decades, she has also crafted over 40 short documentaries, two feature films, two full-length music albums, and currently has multiple projects in development, underscoring her prolific output and contributions to the industry. Also a lifelong skateboarder and "metalhead" she helps to amplify the voices of the underground creative communities.

The Fight for Cultural Preservation & Urban Equity: Leveraging Visual Storytelling as a Tool for Skateboard Advocacy
Through extensive immersive fieldwork over the course of five years and seven countries, we’ve tested that authentic, purpose-driven storytelling has the power to shift public perceptions particularly in city government. By opening up meaningful dialogue through film screenings, discussion panels, youth programming, and community-driven content creation, we’ve been able to engage broader audiences and create actionable change.
